Hit parade

On an 18 hit, 14 run night (in which even the pitcher hit a homerun-Go Big Z!), our guy Tyler had a relatively quiet night, going 1-5. He did, however, make a stellar defensive play to gun down some Pirate dude trying to stretch a single to a double. Defense is just as important as offense, ya know.

It was nice to see the Cubs finally beat the Pirates like the redheaded stepchildren of the NL Central that they are. Makes you wonder if they'd done that earlier in the season, would they still be in 5th place today? Um......probably.

Fan blog virgin

I've decided to put my stalking abilities to good use. In searching the internets, it became clear to me that there aren't any Tyler Colvin fan blogs yet. I'm not sure how this is even possible, considering how damn good and adorable he is, but whatever. So, while I can't promise what I write here will be accurate (I mean, who really has time to like actually look up stats and stuff), I can promise that it will be entertaining. To someone. Not sure who.

Next game tonight vs the dreaded Pirates. You know, the Cubs are the only team in MLB that can't beat them. I haven't seen the starting lineup yet, so not sure if Tyler is getting the start or if Kosuke "I hit homeruns AND cause errors in the same game" Fukudome will be in tonight. We shall see. Either way, I'm sure Tyler will make it into the game at some point and do something amazing. I mean, DUH.
Upcoming events: Tyler's 25th birthday on September 5. Don't forget to celebrate!
